Due to the unending monotony of the same four Quake 2 CTF maps being played over and over again in competive matches, some of us toyed with playing Unreal Tournament (UT) matches. I think Red in particular may have advocated that. Unfortunately, I think Asheron's Call was a major impediment for that plan. :) UT was a major improvement over the original Unreal, and the weapons became a little more "normal," but I still found the multi-player experience a little frustrating. I remember I always had problems with timing my shots. Sometimes I'd press my fire button and nothing would happen. Little stuff like that. |
